Mini Reservoir Development in Ceger Has Touched 80 Percent

We aim to finish it in two weeks

The 970-square-meter long mini reservoir development work on Jalan SMPN 160, RT 02/05 Ceger, Cipayung, East Jakarta has touched 80 percent.

Cipayung Sub-district Head Fajar Eko Satrio said the development work had been ongoing since a month. It was conducted manually by 20 personnel of the Water Resources (SDA) Task Force and PPSU.

According to him, the reservoir was done to overcome the inundation in the surrounding residential areas due to the existing drainage channels unable to accommodate water.

"We aim to finish it in two weeks," he said, Wednesday (1/27).

Nevertheless, the reservoir was able to accommodate overflowing waters of the existing drainage channels in residential areas.

"To function it optimally, we also build an infiltration well near the reservoir," he said.
